About Us
Africa's soul in every piece
Savannah Roots is a conscious clothing brand creating handmade, small-batch designs rooted in craftsmanship, culture, and community. Crafted in Kenya by skilled local artisans, our pieces are thoughtfully made with intention, care, and respect for both people and the planet.
Who we are
Our Story
Savannah Roots is a mother and daughter–owned brand built on a shared love for Kenyan culture, craftsmanship, and storytelling through fashion.
I grew up in Kenya, surrounded by the colours, textures, and traditions that continue to inspire our brand today.
After moving to Europe, i felt a strong desire to share the beauty of Kenyan heritage beyond its borders and create a meaningful connection between the place i call home and the wider world.
My mother, who still lives in Kenya, remains closely involved, grounding the brand in its roots and ensuring a deep, authentic relationship with local artisans and communities.
Together, we bridge continents combining lived experience, cultural respect, and purpose to bring Kenyan-made pieces to a global audience.
Why choose us?
By choosing Savannah Roots, you are directly supporting artisan communities in Kenya and helping preserve traditional craftsmanship. Our approach provides meaningful work, fair opportunities, and long-term partnerships with the makers we collaborate with. Through small-batch production, we also reduce waste and encourage a more mindful way of consuming fashion.
With shipping across Europe, we connect conscious customers with clothing that carries purpose, story, and impact beyond aesthetics.
Our Values
At the heart of Savannah Roots is a commitment to conscious creation. We believe in ethical production, fair working practices, and respecting the hands behind every piece we create.
We prioritise quality over quantity, choosing slow fashion over mass production and timeless design over fleeting trends. Sustainability guides our decisions, from how our garments are made to how they are meant to be worn and kept. Transparency, respect, and responsibility shape everything we do.
